The following laws regulate the bilingual activity inside the schools.

Agreement 253/2006: Whit this the Bogotá Bilingual Program is institutionalized, it looks for citizens able to communicate in english with international standards, the aim is make Bogotá an atractive city for tourism and international investment. Plan Sectorial de educación 2008-2012: It looks for an education with quality, poor comand of the foreign language is one of the problems that it will resolve, for this reason it pretends to develop and improve the communicative competence in order to get the leve B2 of the Common European Framework in English. Tools like TICS, texts and immersion programs with native teacher are important to get the aim. Look more in this link.
